Preeti 2 Unicode is built to process your text locally. This policy explains exactly what the site does and does not do with your information.

Client-side only

Your files never leave your computer. The conversion engine runs entirely in the browser.

No account required

No signup, no login, no email. Just open the page and start converting immediately.

Zero tracking

No analytics, no advertising, and no third-party scripts that monitor your activity.

How conversion works

When you paste text or upload a file, the entire conversion process runs in your browser using JavaScript. The Preeti-to-Unicode mapping happens in memory — your document text is never sent to any server.

This means:

  • Your documents stay private — they never leave your device
  • No file size limits from server uploads (browser memory only)
  • Works offline once the page is loaded
  • No account creation or personal data collection

1. Information we collect

We do not collect personal information, document text, or conversion history. There are no accounts, no contact forms that submit to a server, and no analytics or advertising scripts. Text and files you provide to the converter are processed locally and are not transmitted to us.

2. Local processing

Uploaded files are read directly by your browser. Their contents stay in the page's memory for the current session and are not uploaded anywhere. Refreshing or closing the page clears them. Downloads are generated on your device.

3. Local storage and cookies

The site stores one preference in your browser's local storage: whether you chose light or dark mode. This value stays on your device and is not sent to us. We do not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use cookies to identify you.

You can clear this preference at any time through your browser's site-data settings. The converter will continue to work without it.

4. Third-party resources and server logs

The site loads web fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those font files, Google may receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you are viewing. We do not send your document text to Google or to any other third party.

Our hosting provider may keep ordinary server logs — for example, IP address, timestamp, and requested URL — for security, troubleshooting, and reliability. These logs do not contain pasted text, uploaded files, or converted output.

5. Data retention

We do not retain your documents or conversion output because we never receive them. Server logs kept by the hosting provider are retained only for the short period needed for security and operational purposes, subject to that provider's policies.

6. Children's privacy

The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the converter does not require an account or transmit document content, it can be used without providing personal details.

7. Your choices

  • Clear local storage in your browser to remove the saved theme preference.
  • Block third-party font requests with a browser extension or content blocker; the converter still works with fallback system fonts.
  • Disconnect from the internet after the page loads and continue converting offline.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the updated policy.
